Business Requirement
Run the Financial Report to look into insights of business by Top Management. But While Generating Any Report system throws following error:
An error occured while processing the request. (InternalServerError) <"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.”, The remote server returned an error: (500) internal server error.”> {63566CCB-186D-461D-A1FA-25AA099EB2C0}
To overcome from the said error we need to Reset the Financial reporting data mart.
Steps to Reset Data Mart
Step 1: Go to General ledger module > Inquiries and Report > Financial Report
Step 2: Click on edit and
Open > Run > login with D365fo environment credential
Step 3: Go to Reset Data Mart under Tools tab
Step 4: The dialog box that appears has two sections: Statistics and Reset.
Then say YES to appeared pop-up
Step 5:
The reset is finished when all mappings show a status of RanToCompletion, and an "Integration complete" message appears in the lower-left corner of the Integration Status dialog box.
Important Note:
Verify that all data mart reset tasks have completed an initial load before we begin a reset. We can confirm this by looking for a value in the Last Runtime column by selecting Tools > Integration status.
Extras
FAQ: Management Reporter won't Reset Data mart or taking too much time to reset for General Journal Transactions.
Reason: It depends the data volume, if you have 10 millions transaction need to be sync, could be take 10 hours or even more.
And please also check the SQL server, is there any deadlock, if it's only pending on data sync for Fact table, please give it more time.
